What we arrange quotes for

One enquiry covers the whole kitchen, from the cabinetry and benchtops to the plumbing, power and the outdoor area.

Kitchen with grey cabinets, a white island and three pendant lights

Kitchen renovations

Replace a tired kitchen with one that works. New cabinetry, benchtops, splashback, appliances and lighting, with the layout changed if it needs to be. Common jobs include opening a closed-in kitchen to the living area, adding an island and moving the sink.

New home and extension kitchens

Building, extending or doing a knock-down rebuild? A custom kitchen designed alongside your plans gives you more say over the layout, storage and finishes than a builder's standard range.

New kitchens
Outdoor kitchen with an island bench and bar stools

Outdoor kitchens

Built-in BBQs, sinks, fridges, pizza ovens and proper bench space, under the alfresco or out by the pool. Built from materials that handle Adelaide's 40-degree summers, salty sea air and wet Hills winters.

Adelaide homes need different kitchens

A kitchen for a bluestone villa in Norwood is a different job to one for a new home in Mount Barker or an apartment in Glenelg. We match you with a builder who knows your kind of house.

Character villas and cottages

High ceilings, thick stone walls and often salt damp. Most new kitchens go into a rear extension so the front rooms stay intact.

Unley, Norwood, Prospect

Post-war and 1960s–80s brick homes

Solid houses with small, closed-in kitchens. Taking out a wall and adding an island changes how the whole house works.

Campbelltown, Marion, Charles Sturt

1990s and 2000s family homes

Good bones and dated finishes. New doors, benchtops and appliances, or a full replacement with much better storage.

Golden Grove, Aberfoyle Park, Paralowie

New estate homes

Builder-grade kitchens and an alfresco slab under the main roof. Upgrade the kitchen and add a built-in BBQ kitchen outside.

Mount Barker, Blakeview, Seaford Meadows

Apartments and townhouses

Tight footprints, strata rules and lift bookings. Every centimetre of storage counts, and integrated appliances help.

Adelaide CBD, Glenelg, Bowden

Beachside and Hills homes

Salt air on the coast, and frost and bushfire risk in the Hills, both change which materials work, especially outside.

Henley Beach, Brighton, Stirling

Choosing a benchtop in 2026

Engineered stone, the benchtop in most Adelaide kitchens for the last twenty years, can no longer be made, supplied or installed in Australia. The national ban started on 1 July 2024 because cutting it exposes stonemasons to dangerous silica dust. Benchtops that are already installed can stay, and can still be repaired or removed.

For a new kitchen, the main options are:

  • Porcelain and sintered stone that contain no resin, which are allowed under the ban and look a lot like stone
  • Natural stone such as granite, marble and quartzite
  • Quality laminate and compact laminate, which have come a long way
  • Timber and stainless steel, often mixed with one of the above
  • Newer surfaces made with less than 1% crystalline silica

Questions we get asked

Is the quote really free?

Yes. There's no charge to you for the introduction, the measure or the quote, and no obligation to go ahead.

Who will do the work?

A local kitchen builder or cabinet maker who services your suburb and holds a South Australian building work contractor's licence. You deal with them directly on the design, the contract and the price.

How long does a kitchen renovation take?

Allow a few weeks for design and cabinet making before work starts. Once it starts, a straightforward kitchen replacement is often finished in two to three weeks. It takes longer if walls, plumbing or the floor are changing, or if the kitchen is part of an extension.

Do I need council approval?

Usually not, if the work stays inside the house and doesn't change the structure. Removing a load-bearing wall, building an extension or adding a roofed verandah for an outdoor kitchen may need development approval, which in South Australia is lodged through the PlanSA portal. Heritage-listed homes and homes in historic areas may need approval for changes that can be seen from the street. The builder quoting your job should confirm what's needed.

Can I get a quote for just an outdoor kitchen?

Yes. Outdoor kitchens are quoted on their own or together with an indoor kitchen. Doing both at once usually saves on trades.

What should I have ready?

A few photos of your current kitchen or outdoor area, rough measurements if you have them, a budget range and any pictures of kitchens you like. None of it is essential to make an enquiry.

Which areas do you cover?
